Tickled Pink is a breast cancer awareness fundraiser for women of all ages, with proceeds to benefit breast cancer programming in the local community.  The admission price includes:  the opportunity to shop a variety of great vendors; appetizers, desserts and coffee; door prize drawings; and access to breast cancer prevention and support information.  We will also have lots of fun activites for our younger guests including tattoos, hair braiding and nail painting for a charge of $1 per activity.  A cash bar will also be available, and you will have the chance to purchase raffle tickets for many great gift baskets and prizes, and the opportunity to get your picture taken at a fun costume and prop-filled photography station.

All proceeds from Tickled Pink benefit local community organizations that provide direct service breast cancer programming.   We are pleased to announce that our 2009 event beneficiary is the very local Breast Health Center at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital! 

Past beneficiaries have included Wellness House in Hinsdale -- a cancer support and education center and DuPage County Health Department's "Why Wait?" Program -- a breast and cervical cancer screening program for women in need in DuPage County. 

Vendors are integral to the success of the Tickled Pink fundraiser.  They represent a variety of local and home-based businesses selling unique, often hand-crafted items.  Our vendors have had an incredible variety of items for sale.  Some products are purses, scarves and accessories, stationery and custom announcements, jewelry, garden art, children's art, books, furniture and accessories, gourmet foods, makeup and skincare products and much more.  In the spirit of the event, vendors have plenty of "pink product" on hand.  Vendors pay a table fee and are asked to donate a percentage of their profits or an item to be raffled.

DONORS

Through the generosity of local businesses and volunteers, we are able to offer appetizers, desserts, gift bags, and door prizes to each ticket holder.  Furthermore, we are able to assemble raffle baskets and appeal to women of all ages brimming with accessories, jewelry, gift certificates, glassware, dishes, bath products, athletic gear, movies, music and goodies!  Our fundraiser is fully staffed with volunteers from the Elmhurst Junior Women's Club, local healther organizations and local middle and high school students.  If you would like to donate an item or your time to this great cause, please contact us at wm@elmhurstjuniors.org.
